My mother is my “putri sejati”, hero, mentor, and role model.  Perseverance, perfection, dedication, and hard work, are all the qualities I learned from her.  A mother with 10 children and a whole clan to take care of, she had to work extra hard to fulfill her passion for the arts. I learned about respect and pride from her when it comes to our traditional culture.  Throughout her active years from the 70s to now, her mission is to be true to our core tradition in spite of modern demands.  It’s a big shoe to fill but I will try to continue her arts in the form of wedding performances.  It is our dream to continue her legacy. I wish for her health and for her to be able to see this show and hopefully be proud of what we did.
